The secret behind the mouthpieces is the polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes. My horse has been loving that bit in her mouth since day one. The primary reason for this snaffle bit being my special is its mouthpiece and copper roller. This is my favorite snaffle bit for a number of reasons. Myler Western Dee with Sweet Iron Comfort Snaffle

Not suitable for undisciplined or tough horses 2.Best for young horses’ beginning training. The barrel prevents pinching or discomfort in the tongue or mouth.Curved mouthpiece for more surface area of the tongue.D-ring snaffle bits are my favorites as the cheekpieces/rings of these bits are fixed with the mouthpiece, unlike the O-Ring ones. The barrel also allows a significant bending of the mouthpiece, saving the horse’s upper jaw and making enough space for the tongue to rest.Īs the two halves work independently, it allows the rider to give clearer and distinct signals. The barrel also divides the mouthpiece into equal halves. So, the horse is not troubled or pinched when the bits are pulled. Unlike the other bits, the joints in these are covered with a barrel. The barrel is what sets Myler bits apart, in my opinion.

It is a D-Ring snaffle bit of 3 3/4″ cheekpieces. This type of bit can be used best for horses that are fully finished and well educated and that work well of the rider's aids.It has all the special features of Mylar that set it apart. The bits can exert pressure on the horse's palate, depending on the height of the tongue port. This bit therefore acts least on the tongue and most on the layers. The level 3 bits from Myler offer the most freedom of tongue.Level 2 bits are suitable for horses that achieve basic training and have a good outline, with good bent and decent balance. A level 2 bit from Myler also has a forward-curved mouthpiece and this acts more on the horse's layers, with the mouthpiece rotating over the horse's layers. This is suitable for horses that have just been started, are young and green and learning the basics. This provides resistance on the tongue and a pinching feeling on the layers, but the bit can also be released as soon as the horse walks in a reined position. The level 1 bits from Myler have the characteristic of squeezing and resisting with release. This bit exerts the most pressure on the tongue, which is evenly distributed. The Myler bit level 1 is a bit with a forward-curved mouthpiece. All Myler bits can be purchased with different types of bit rings. The Myler bits come in 3 different levels. The system also offers matching bit rings for your horse to suit the discipline being practised, such as dressage, show jumping or eventing, but is also very suitable for other branches of equestrian sport. This vision has led to the design of a curved mouthpiece which provides the horse with comfortable freedom for his tongue and therefore more saliva production. The horse is the centre of attention here, with the anatomical shape forming the basis. Myler Myler is a company that designs bits according to a specific system.
